Nebbia show
Teatro Sociale - Como
Nebbia - the Italian word for fog - descends over the theatre enveloping the audience. Contours and confines become blurred, creating an atmosphere in which anything is possible and reality turns to dream. Nostalgia and fragility blend with comedy in a show that is part acrobatic theatre, part modern circus, fast-moving yet poetic. This is Nebbia, the show Daniele Finzi Pasca and the Sunil theatre in Lugano have coproduced for the first time with the Cirque Eloize of Montreal. It is Pasca’s third successful show in the Sky Trilogy after Nomade and Rain. The common thread of the trilogy is the sky that embraces the thoughts of people the world over from the adolescent boy in the Molino Nuovo district of Ticino where Daniele was born and grew up, to audiences in lands where the show comes to life from Colombia to Korea. A show created in Ticino, evoking the familiar haunts of Finzi Pasca’s roots, delving playfully into the depths of the author and joining hands with his “accomplices” living in our Canton. The show was subsequently performed in Canada and has toured the world to great acclaim. Finzi Pasca and the Sunil troupe create the magic of theatre with the stories and lore of their Ticino roots but speak to the hearts and minds of people throughout the world. (Produced by Cirque Eloize in coproduction with the Sunil Theatre. Written and directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca. Funded by the Fidinam Group).
